Happy Holidays from the Exan Group
Notice - Nov 24, 2011 5:00 pm

Happy Holidays from all of us at the Exan Group

As the holiday season approaches, I’d like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to you for your continued business. This is a wonderful time for us to remember the friends and customers who help our business and make our jobs a pleasure all year long. Great companies are built with great teams and our team includes all our amazing end users. Together we share the same vision, which has resulted in a focused group of people working towards a common goal. Our business would not be possible without your continued support.

This year we continued to grow our family of clients and welcomed four new institutions to our group. We continue to expand our team at Exan and have added new members to our Technical Support Department as well as grown and enhanced our Web Development Department.

At Exan, we aspire to be a leader in the dental software industry. We want to be known for our dedication to service, our high quality products and an ongoing commitment to innovation. A milestone in this year’s development has been the release of our Faculty Access module. I look forward to seeing the dental schools implement this new clinical software. As a continued desire to provide our clients with the tools they need to take advantage of the ever changing incentives in the industry, axiUm Version 5.10 has been ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certified by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®) as an EHR Module this past summer. We are currently in the process of being certified as a Complete EHR by the end of the first quarter of 2012. This year we truly have taken a further step in revolutionizing the dental schools and the technology used in furthering the education of students and helping with the quality of care of patients.

In order to maintain our commitment to making a difference in our community, we at Exan have continued to use what we have been given to make a difference in the world around us. Exan has been an avid supporter of a local organization called Mission Possible. We have fully sponsored a social enterprise project that has allowed for those less fortunate than us to have a chance at work and bettering their situation. We have also funded a project that recycles used hotel soap products and redistributes them to developing nations where they are needed. If you are interested in our efforts, please see the Mission Possible web site where it is discussed further (www.mission-possible.ca/).

As we approach the end of the year 2011, I am again reminded of how fortunate we have been. It has been a year full of many successes. This is due to the staff and clients that we choose to surround ourselves with. I’d like to take a moment to send our best wishes to you and your families on behalf of everyone here at Exan. May your holiday season and the New Year be filled with much joy, happiness and success. We look forward to working with you in the coming year and hope our business relationship continues for many years to come. Thank you for your continued support, and for being a part of our team.

Happy holidays!

Ted DeVries

Exan to donate $1 for every Facebook like to Mission Possible
Community - Sep 22, 2011 10:07 am
Typically we reserve our announcements for major accomplishments with either our company or our clients. This email is about something a little bit different but equally important.

Over the past five years, Exan Group has been involved with a local non-profit organization called Mission Possible. Our staff volunteer at Power Breakfasts, collect food and clothing, provide administrative help at their annual fundraising Gala Event, and much more. I personally have always felt quite proud of the way my staff have had a hands on approach to this organization and it has lead me to allow for us to get quite corporately involved. We have funded two social enterprise programs and multiple other opportunities. Our most recent venture is using ‘social networking for social change.’

We are excited to announce our first ever Exan Group Facebook page. For every "LIKE " on the Exan page, we will donate $1.00 to Mission Possible, up to a maximum of $20,000. Taking this one minute to "LIKE " us will actually make a huge difference to Mission Possible. Indirectly, you will be again supporting us so that together we can be part of the solution to the problems that the downtown Eastside faces. If you would like to know more about Mission Possible check out their website (www.missionposscards.com) and video (http://youtu.be/5cKMBiWQhgM). And if you like what you see, why not click on Mission Possible ”LIKE” also.

ONC-ATCB product certification updates will be available at http://www.cchit.org as they occur.

“CCHIT is pleased to be testing and certifying products so that companies are now able to offer these products to providers who wish to purchase and implement certified EHR technology and achieve meaningful use in time for the 2011-2012 incentives,” said Karen M. Bell, M.D., M.S.S., Chair, CCHIT.
